Taking shape at Kilwell Fibretube in Rotorua the 12m high, 3.8-tonne artwork will be flown in two parts by helicopter to Rotorua's Hemo Gorge roundabout sometime this Spring.
It's the culmination of 16,500 hours of 3D printing time to date and Craig Wilson, Kilwell chief executive, gave councilors a tour of their production site on Tuesday and a glimpse of how the giant sculpture was taking shape.
